Eye care - eye test - glasses - treatments

With me, you can have a comprehensive assessment of your eye health and eyesight.

 

Our additional diagnostic examinations, such as OCT and visual field analysis, enable us to detect and treat any potential issues at an early stage.

As the Clinical Lead of the Macula & Vitreoretinal Services and Consultant Eye Surgeon at St. John of God Hospital in Vienna, I offer my extensive knowledge and experience to help you find the best possible treatment plan.

Services

Basic Eye Exam

  • Vision check  and prescription for eyeglasses (Distance glasses, Reading glasses, Varifocal glasses, etc.)
     

  • Checking of eye muscle balance (orthoptic status) and stereosis
     

  • Examination of the anterior segment of the eye (cornea, conjunctiva, iris, anterior chamber, chamber angle, lens, tear ducts)
     

  • Dry eye therapy 
     

  • Detailed examination of the posterior segment of the eye (retina, optic nerve, macula, choroid, vitreous body)

  • OCT: fine tomographic image of the macula (point of sharpest vision) in macular diseases such as AMD
     

  • OCT angiography: high-resolution display of the vessels in the macular area to diagnose wet macular degeneration or circulatory disorders more precisely (often saves the classic fluorescein angiography with a needle)
     

  • Retinal examination using a contact lens
     

  • Indirect ophthalmoscopy with indentation for a better assessment of the peripheral retina

     

Glaucoma

  • Visual field examination using perimetry
     

  • Glaucoma prevention and ongoing glaucoma monitoring
     

  • OCT of the optic nerve - retinal nerve fiber layer analysis (RNFL)
     

  • Eye pressure measurement
     

  • Laser treatments at the hospital (iridotomy, SLT, ALPI)
     

  • Gonioscopy- examination of the angle
     

  • Glaucoma Surgery at the hospital

Cornea

  • Assessment of the corneal surface and tear film
     

  • Treatment of dry eyes
     

  • Treatment of corneal infections and inflammation
     

  • OCT of the cornea

  • Assessment of lid margin and misalignments
